At the African Foundation for Economic Growth & Empowerment (AFEGE), we believe that lasting change begins when people are given the tools, support, and space to shape their own future. Founded in 2016 by Africans in the diaspora and rooted in both the United States and Nigeria, AFEGE is a nonprofit organization working hand-in-hand with communities to build a more just, healthy, and sustainable world.
We focus on those who are too often left behind—young people, women, and marginalized groups—and work alongside them to unlock opportunities for growth, healing, and leadership. Whether it's a young woman learning a new trade, a child planting vegetables in a peace garden, or a village coming together to access clean water, our work is about people, dignity, and hope.
